Dear friends,
Welcome to the latest edition of In Correspondence, featuring several exciting launches… 🌊 🎧 🍞
Futurecraft
We’ve launched the website for Futurecraft! Check it out at futurecraft.life:
We’re also happy to announce the next Futurecraft Together gathering from 20th-27th August in the beautiful Stockholm Archipelago 🇸🇪 A week to explore and embody the futures we desire for...
🌍 ourselves, our community, our planet
🧘🏼♀️ body, mind, soul
🤖 technology, humanity, nature
‘Futurecraft Together’ is our more co-created format, aimed at those already familiar with participatory events. Each day we'll hold a morning circle to hear what workshops/activities people are dreaming of, before inviting people to offer their skills and expertise to meet the desires of the group. Dandelion
There’s a new Dandelion podcast 🎧 So far I’ve interviewed:
Gaia Harvey Jackson and Alana Hyde Bloom from True Nature (Want to work with Gaia and Alana? True Nature are seeking an event coordinator)
Subscribe to the Dandelion Substack to hear about future episodes.
There’s also a new Library section on Dandelion featuring our favourite books and films 📘 🍿
Breadchain
Symbiota, the worker co-op I work with that includes Dandelion, is a member of Breadchain, a blockchain-based currency supporting post-capitalist futures.
The launch event (attended by Vitalik Buterin) took place at Moos Space during ETH Berlin, and whilst I couldn’t be present in person, I created a short video intro to Symbiota for the Breadchain community.
Knowledgegraph
Since last time I’ve shared 23 items to my knowledgegraph. Highlights:
Vanessa Andreotti and Nate Hagens on Hospicing Modernity and Rehabilitating Humanity
Daniel Schmachtenberger: Game Theory, False Narratives and Survival
Joshua Schrei and Michael Garfield on Embodied Ethics in The Age of A.I.
Zone of Scenius: Zuzalu, popup villages, and building at the edges
Second Renaissance: From the old paradigm of modernity to a new paradigm of interconnectedness, wisdom and inner growth, beyond capitalism
I also hosted an event on Emptiness and Metamodernism as part of a series of events commemorating the fourth anniversary of the passing of Rob Burbea (notes here) and finished The Flowering Wand by Sophie Strand.
