Dear friends,
Welcome to another In Correspondence! This time I’m writing from south west Portugal, which looks something like this:
What I’ve been up to
I gave the talk Teaching ReFi: Insights from a Web3 Educator at Schelling Point Amsterdam, where I spoke about my experiences teaching close to 1000 students about web3 and regeneration over the past 2 years – I thought it went pretty well ☺️
I travelled to the underworld and back at ISTA 2 with Elaine Yonge, Laurie Handlers & Eugene Hedlund
I visited a dear friend in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains in Ireland
I danced at the first Dancefloor, a new event series by the talented Ro Greene
I spent a night Singing With Nightingales with Sam Lee and friends in Sussex
I celebrated the marriage of my brother and new sister-in-law where I had the pleasure of reading Silent Noon by Dante Gabriel Rossetti at their request
I participated in heart:magika at the Traditional Dream Factory in Portugal featuring Antara Dakini and Alma Omega, and explored Lagos and Aljezur (some highlights)
I taught the seventh edition of Intro to web3, Crypto & ReFi
I showed my Stockholm-based partner Laura the best of Devon, including Bovey Castle, Gara Rock and celebrating Bonny’s birthday with a psychedelic treasure hunt in the gardens of Dartington Hall
Plans for the future
Completing my ICF-accredited training in Transformational Coaching (read more about coaching with me and join the waitlist)
Participating in my first sprint triathlon
Co-creating solstice gatherings in the UK and Sweden, and a camp at The Borderland
Attending Medicine Festival where I’ll host a panel on Web3 and the Radical Imagination
Liberating Ways of Looking at Gaia House
Further episodes of Lunarpunk Dreams
Reading Cloudmoney by Brett Scott and The Network State by Balaji Srinivasan
Dandelion
I’m the lead developer of Dandelion, an open-source platform for ticketed events and co-created gatherings that operates on a donation/gift economy basis.
Close to £1m worth of tickets have been sold via Dandelion, which is certainly now a mature and highly functional platform (if still rather under-documented – better documentation and explainer videos are a priority). Give it a spin for your next event
Knowledgegraph
Since last time, I’ve shared 17 items to my knowledgegraph. Some highlights:
