Dear friends,
Welcome to my latest update. I’ve just got back from a friend’s birthday at a house in the middle of Dartmoor after 5 days almost totally offline, joy! My love of Dartmoor and the River Dart keeps growing.
Monthly news review videocall for paying subscribers
I’m starting a monthly news review videocall for paying subscribers of this newsletter, where I’ll offer deeper commentary and analysis on content I’ve shared to my knowledgegraph and other items mentioned here.
The first call will take place on Wednesday 9th September at 6pm-7pm UK time, with a link sent to paying subscribers earlier that week, and a recording sent afterwards.
The investment I’m asking for is $10/month (or $100/year), with the option of a $300/year Founding Member plan if you particularly appreciate my work and would like the option of being featured in this newsletter.
Your support would mean a lot to me, and will enable me to keep seeking out and connecting quality content in these strange times.
Tao Te Ching
I meditated on and added images for chapters 9–31 of the Tao Te Ching.
Image: Verse 26
Something formless, complete in itself
There before Heaven and Earth
Tranquil, vast, standing alone, unchanging
It provides for all things yet cannot be exhausted
It is the mother of the universe
I do not know its name
so I call it "Tao"
Forced to name it further
I call it
"The greatness of all things"
"The end of all endings"
I call it
"That which is beyond the beyond"
"That to which all things return"

DeFi 📈
The value of my cryptocurrency (mainly DeFi) investments has more than doubled in the past month, partly thanks to some code I wrote to compare the performance of funds on ICONOMI, a great platform for managed crypto funds that I’ve been using for a few years now.
